Fir, copper

These fir forms act as mother molds, guiding the copper into a certain shape. Like daughters, the copper forms have many variations that can arise from the mother mold. We began working together to experiment with how copper and fir could interact. Combined, our pieces represent the constantly shifting balance of collaboration.

My box tells the tale of my year abroad in Europe. It contains artifacts from my experiences which serve as tokens for me to draw from those influential memories. For me, it is a growing book which gives form to my inner life.
