I made a drawing table because I need a space to focus, a big space to spread out my ideas, where I can work standing or sitting. It helps me to be productive.

This table is also appropriate for what we have been doing in Thinking Through Craft. Our projects always seem to take an impractical amount of time, not just because we usually have never done it before, but because we have to think it out, design it, get feedback. Draw it, draw it to scale, where’s the model, what’s the schedule. I have to do this because mistakes are costly. Sometimes they work out, but usually it’s back to the drawing board, and I definitely made some mistakes during this process.

So I need space like this to lay my thoughts out on.
