Animation: Ghost House by John Voigt

For this project, I chose to frame the animation, “Ghost House”, recently made by my close friend, John Voigt. This piece is a collaboration that contains reoccurring symbolic imagery in both of our work. The design of the frame is based on an emblem that I conceived during a profound visionary experience in my adolescence. John's symbol is a cartoon character that is also an emblematic self- portrait. Over the years of our camaraderie, we have supported each other in the creation of our art and our development as people. Like the framed animations, the consciousness of John lives within me. As this piece would be incomplete without the frame or the animation, so John and I would be without the help of each other.
